YOUR ENGLISH TEACHER
Before I became an English teacher, I graduated in Tourism at the University of São Paulo (ECA - USP) and worked in the Travel Industry for many years. One day I decided to take a break from my job to pursue an old dream. Since I was a child, I had this dream of living overseas. The opportunity finally came in 2007. I went to Auckland in New Zealand for a 12-week course and I liked it so much I ended up staying until 2014.
During my time in New Zealand, I did a few things that helped me achieve proficiency. I took some courses which are listed below, I worked in hospitality and tourism and I lived with a local family who just welcomed me like one of their own. In addition to living abroad, I’ve also got a TESOL** certificate.
